13. The Murder of the Gustafson Family

After suffering the tragic loss of their mother, Tina and Karen Bowen begin to encounter terrifying incidents around their house. The doorbell rings, but no one is there. Windows are cracked. 11. The Murders of Lynda Mann and Dawn Ashworth

During the mid-1980s in Leicestershire, England, teenage girls were being targeted by an assailant who escalated from flashing to kidnapping to sexual assault and then to murder. After two girls, Lynda Mann and Dawn Ashworth, were each found deceased 3 years apart, new scientific advancements made their way into the field of forensics. These new forensic methodologies allowed for the identification of the perpetrator and afforded the families of these young women the opportunity to seek justice.

9. The Murder of Jill Dando

On April 26, 1999 newly engaged BBC reporter and television personality Jill Dando was making a routine visit to a home she was listing for sale after moving in with her fiance. A neighbor heard someone scream, but when he looked out his window to see what the commotion was, he only saw a man walking down the street. A quarter of an hour later, another neighbor discovered Jill Dando lying motionless in her doorway and an hour and a half after the scream was heard, Jill was pronounced deceased upon her arrival to the hospital.

6. Serial Killers Ray and Faye Copeland

Ray and Faye Copeland appeared to be a simple, elderly farming couple in rural Missouri, known for their hard work and unassuming nature. However, beneath this façade, they orchestrated a series of chilling crimes. The Copelands hired transient workers to help on their farm, but instead of providing employment, they used these workers in their fraudulent schemes, ultimately leading to their murders. The isolated location of their farm allowed their activities to go undetected for years. 5. Serial Killer Lenny the Loon

4. Serial Killer Hiroshi Maeue

By all accounts, Hiroshi Maeue's childhood was normal.
